El Bagel hand rolls, ferments, boils, and bakes fresh bagels in the traditional style of our immigrant ancestors.
The story goes as follows: we consistently woke up every weekend with “massive chuchaquis” (proper hangovers) and were devoid of a convenient bagel sanguche worth the schlep outside of Midtown Miami. Finally deciding that a change was necessary, and nodding to the new generation of bagel eaters, we began crafting our own bagels out of a quasi-operational home oven in Little Haiti.
Since then, El Bagel has perfected the recipe and set our sights on expanding beyond just schmears, to include sammies and the proper accoutrements.
Come Summer* 2017, El Bagel will launch a permanent pop-up out of a vintage Cushman food truck (pending a fine tune-up from our mechanic Pedro).
